Whether this is your first experience in therapy or your second, third, or fourth– I am so happy that you are here! It takes a lot of strength, courage, and resiliency to take the time to learn, grow, and challenge yourself to be the best version of you. I believe that everyone is capable of change and healing, and I also recognize those things take time. There may be a lot of ups and downs along the way, and I am here to walk alongside you in your journey of growth. We are the experts of our own lives– sometimes we just need a little support, guidance, validation, and accountability to get to where we want to be. You can expect me to prioritize providing you with an environment that feels safe, nonjudgmental, and supportive as we work together in your journey of healing and growth.
I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) and Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC). I enjoy working with adult (18+) individuals and have experience working with a wide range of mental health concerns including depression, anxiety, life transitions, self-esteem, stress management, grief and loss, addiction, trauma,
interpersonal problems, suicidal ideation, and behavioral issues. My personal passions are the outdoors, hiking, and living an active lifestyle. I believe our mental and physical health can influence one another and that we can bring our passions into our daily lives to improve our overall well-being. I would love to explore this more with you!
I obtained my Master of Professional Studies in Integrated Behavioral Health from the University of Minnesota. Throughout my student and professional practices, I have experience working in a variety of settings including hospital and inpatient, intensive outpatient, and outpatient therapy, with a focus on both mental health and substance use disorders. I like to use a blend of person-centered therapy, mindfulness, motivational interviewing, dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) approaches to work through overcoming obstacles and working towards a life that feels more fulfilling and meaningful to you.
It takes a lot of strength to make the choice to work on yourself and I would be honored to be a part of your journey in growth and healing!
