How do I know if I need a therapist?

I typically say that everyone needs a therapist, but as a therapist, I realize I may be bias! Therapy is useful for anyone wanting to get to know themselves on a deeper level, increase life satisfaction, develop stronger relationships, and receive support in healing from past hurts and challenging life experiences. Just as we keep up with our physical health, a therapist provides you with support on managing and improving your mental health and wellness.

are clients seen virtually or in person?

With our unique blend of service options, we offer a personalized experience to best meet your needs. We offer both virtual and in person therapy. Our office is conveniently located in downtown Hudson, WI. We are able to see therapy clients located in the states of WI and MN through virtual sessions (telehealth). Coaching clients can work with us virtually from wherever they are located in the world.

do you accept insurance?

We are in network with multiple insurance companies including HealthPartners, Cigna, and BCBS of MN. Please connect with your identified therapist to confirm which insurances they are in network with. We highly recommend contacting your insurance company prior to scheduling, as in network coverage may change by plan. Clients are responsible for all cost not coverage by insurance, including claim denials, deductibles, and co-pays.

What is the cost per session?

Our sessions costs range from $135 - $160 per session. Please see each therapist's individual page to view their specific fees.

what can I expect in my first therapy session?

Building a strong relationship is our first priority! Therapy starts with the phase of assessment, which allows both the client and therapist to get to know one another. Your therapist will seek understanding about your concerns, and life history. Together you will develop goals to target in future sessions.

How long does the therapy process take?

Each individual or couple has their own unique experience with the therapy process, which includes a varied length of time spent in therapy. We offer a range of treatment modalities to support targeting your goals quickly and efficiently. Clients may also find that the support of therapy adds significant value to their life, and choose to continue working with their therapist long term in order to maintain progress. We recommend a high level of commitment to the therapy process in order to get the most out of your time. This includes regularly scheduled therapy sessions to build a safe relationship with your therapist and create the momentum needed to make sustainable change.

What is a holistic treatment approach?

Using a holistic approach expands beyond the typical medical model of mental health treatment. We believe in the connection between our mind, body, emotions, and soul. Working together, we recognize and treat the connection between somatic symptoms, mental functioning, sleep, nutrition, movement, nature, and the power of human connection.

What types of therapy do you offer?

Growing Together offers a variety of therapy practices and modalities! We use a holistic approach, and do not believe in a one size fits all approach to growth. Our therapists are trauma informed and trained in evidenced based modalities including accelerated resolution therapy, attachment theory, emotionally focused individual and couples therapy, gottman method couples therapy, family centered treatment, multisystemic, psychodynamic, mindfulness, and cognitive behavioral therapy. We also offer alternative approaches to therapy including individual and relationship coaching, energy healing, and breathwork.

How do I know if my therapist is a good fit for me?

The relationship between client and therapist is an important part of creating safety and making change. At Growing Together, we believe in the values of inclusion, authenticity, and being client centered to allow all clients to show up exactly as they are. Each therapist has their own unique training and style. Your therapist should provide a feeling of safety and compassion while being able to challenge you and push for change. When seeking out a therapist, it is important to ask about how your therapist’s training and experience applies to your specific concerns and goals.
